As the name of this collection suggests, this collection is inspired by convenient, fast food serving the hustle and bustle of life combined with traditional Vietnamese dishes. This collection has been cherished by us for a long time when the COVID pandemic was raging and family members had to close their doors to isolate and accumulate belongings. Surely everyone has had a time when they felt overwhelmed and thought about going out and enjoying hot food, right? It was at this point that the idea of combining two opposing extremes was suddenly born. The outer shell is industrial takeaway food, but inside are beautiful small restaurants serving on-site, preserving the cultural values of Vietnamese cuisine. People may not realize it, but some of those dishes have gradually disappeared, no longer having the taste of the old days.
For example, the design "Ba Tho" was adapted from the milk box "Ong Tho", which used to be an indispensable accompaniment to bread, but is gradually being replaced when bread filled with meat and jam born. Or about "Pho" - the national dish that is almost the most well-known, despite its high popularity, it must be recognized that in this era, when more dishes are born, it means that there will be more people rather than folk dishes. And it is not easy to find a good bowl of Pho because part of the step-by-step processing time is sometimes time-consuming, or some ingredients, such as Peanut worm, gradually become scarce and expensive. Perhaps one day it will be forgotten, but for now, it will still be an important part of the lives of the people living on the S-land. As for the "Beer" and "Tea" designs, though the pub and sidewalk iced tea appeared not long ago, they are also gradually becoming everyday images in daily life that the naked eye can see.
For a long time, traditional cuisine has always been an endless inspiration for creatives, but at the same time, it is also a challenge because this topic is nothing new. So we tried to refer to many different styles, towards the cute, small angle of the dishes so that the designs reduce the rigidity in the idea of the set. In addition, we also add some witty sayings into each design, although they are just words that accidentally pop out, but maybe they can bring a smile. Hopefully, this can help the message we send reach a wider audience and remind us to always cherish the cultural values preserved in thousands of years of history and find ways to preserve those traditions.
